AFAM Mbanefo, Anambra commissioner for Agriculture, Mechanisation, Processing and Export, has applauded the initiative in the training on cassava value chain.
The training was being anchored by the Department of Extension, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, FMARD.
The commissioner, represented by Leo Imoka, the permanent secretary in the ministry, noted that the training would boost knowledge of the participants in cassava value chain technology.
According to him the importance attached to cassava are numerous, making the commodity essential food staple among agricultural crops.
Mbanefo affirmed that with the training, all errors inherent in planting of the commodity in the past would be corrected and youths could be fully preoccupied through the potential it would offer. Read more
